Thank you for using Whoosh Smart Cleaner (the "App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data we access, how we use it, and what rights you have. It applies to all users worldwide, including users from the European Economic Area (EEA), the United States, Brazil, Canada, and other regions. We adhere to GDPR, CCPA, LGPD, and PIPEDA standards where applicable.

1. Data We Access

Whoosh Smart Cleaner does not require registration, a user account, or any personal information to function.

To provide its core functionality, the App requests access to the following on your device:

Photo Library — To identify duplicate and similar photos and videos so you can choose which copies to delete. The App uses Apple's native Photos framework (PhotoKit) for this purpose. We do not read, copy, upload, or transmit the content of your photos or videos to any server.
Device Storage — To analyze file sizes, types, and usage patterns and identify storage that can be freed. All analysis is performed entirely on-device using native iOS frameworks.

We do not collect, store, or transmit:

Your name, email address, or any personal identifiers.
The content of your photos, videos, documents, or any other files.
Location data, contacts, or any other sensitive information.

No third-party analytics or advertising SDKs are integrated in the App. Crash diagnostics, if any, are handled exclusively through Apple's built-in system mechanisms (e.g., Xcode Organizer crash reports submitted voluntarily via iOS settings).

2. Purposes and Legal Basis for Processing

We access on-device data solely to:

Provide the App's cleaning and duplicate-detection functionality.
Display storage usage information to the user.

Legal basis under GDPR:

Performance of a contract / provision of the requested service (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
Legitimate interest in operating and improving the App (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).

Because all processing is local and no personal data is transmitted or stored by us, the volume of data we hold about any individual user is zero.

3. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at the address below and we will promptly delete it.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your data. Because all analysis happens on-device, there is no personal data in our possession to share. The only exception would be if we were required to disclose information by law or valid legal process.

5. International Data Transfers

Since we do not collect or store personal data on our servers, no international data transfers take place on our end. Any data transfers related to Apple's own diagnostic services are governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

6. Data Retention

We do not store any personal data on our servers. All data accessed by the App remains on your device and is subject to iOS system controls. You can revoke the App's access to your Photo Library at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy → Photos.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding personal data, including access, correction, deletion, and the right to object to processing. 8. Cookies and Tracking

The App does not use cookies, tracking pixels, or any similar technologies. We do not track users across third-party websites or services and do not respond to Do Not Track (DNT) signals because no tracking occurs.

9. Links to External Sites

The App may contain links to external websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their policies.

10. Apple's Role

Apple Inc. is not a party to this Privacy Policy and is not responsible for the App's privacy practices. Apple's own privacy practices are governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

11. Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
